What if you are Hit by an Uninsured Driver?

What if you are Hit by an Uninsured Driver?

Louis calls in with a question about being hit in an auto accident by a driver who is uninsured. Louis is advised to go to his own insurance policy and look at his uninsured driver clause.

If he does not have an uninsured driver clause in his insurance policy, his only recourse is to make a claim against the assets of the driver who caused the accident.

If he does have an uninsured driver clause, then his own policy will cover the property damage from the auto accident.
