Kate Reynolds

Kate Reynolds joined Reynolds. Horne & Survant in 2016 after clerking with the firm during law school. Kate was born and raised in Macon, Georgia where she graduated from Stratford Academy in 2007 before attending college at the University of Georgia. Kate graduated from UGA in 2011 with a B.A. in English Literature and Writing. She then went on to receive her Master’s degree in English Education in 2013 during which time she taught 9th grade English at Clarke Central High School in Athens, Georgia and maintained a 4.0 grade point average. While at the University of Georgia, Kate was a recipient of the HOPE scholarship. After graduating from the University of Georgia, Kate attended law school on scholarship at the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon where she was named to the dean’s list and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award (CALI) in the Advanced Litigation Drafting course. She also competed on the Mock Trial team and served as an editor for the school’s Legal Ethics and Professionalism Moot Court competition.

Following her recent graduation from law school in May of 2016, Kate came to work with Reynolds, Horne & Survant fighting to protect the rights of her clients who have suffered damages as a result of injuries caused by the negligence of others. Kate’s focus is on complex civil litigation involving injuries caused by the negligence of others arising from automobile accidents, tractor trailer accidents, on the job injuries, as well as premises and products liability actions.

Kate is the daughter of W. Carl Reynolds who built the firm and has practiced law in Macon for more than 40 years. Her recent addition to the firm is the crowning realization of a lifelong dream to follow in the footsteps of her father. Kate is married to Barret W. Kirbo of Bainbridge, Georgia. Barret also practices law in Macon with the firm of Jones Cork, LLP. Kate is an active member of the Macon community serving in both the Junior League of Macon and as a committee member of the Festival of Trees Charity benefiting the Macon Museum of Arts and Sciences. Kate and Barret are active members of the Vinveville United Methodist Church and enjoy spending time outdoors with their yellow lab, Hank.
